Fasting

Fasting is the cause of awakening man. The heart becomes tender and the spirituality of man increases. This is produced by the fact that man's thoughts will be confined to the commemoration of God, and through this awakening and stimulation surely ideal advancements follow... Fasting is of two kinds, material and spiritual. The material fasting is abstaining from food or drink, that is, from the appetites of the body. But spiritual, ideal fasting is this, that man abstain from selfish passions, from negligence and from satanic animal traits. Therefore, material fasting is a token of the spiritual fasting. That is: `O God! As I am fasting from the appetites of the body and not occupied with eating and drinking, even so purify and make holy my heart and my life from aught else save Thy Love, and protect and preserve my soul from self-passions... Thus may the spirit associate with the Fragrances of Holiness and fast from everything else save Thy mention.

Poem

I fear
that i would be a lonely number like square root three
A three that is all good and right ,
why must my three keep out of sight,
Beneath a viscous square root sign,

I wish,
instead i were a nine,
where a nine can change this evil trick with some quick arithmetic,

I know,
i will never see the sun as 1.7321.
--
--
--

Such as my reality , has set irrationality.
For an arch,
this i see ,
another square root of a three.
Having quietly com busing by,
Together now we multiply,
To form the number we prefer, rejoicing as an integer.
--
--
--
We brake free from our moral bonds,
and with the wave of magic ones,
Our square roots signs become unglued,

--

--
The love for me has been renewed.

Diamond no longer nature's hardest material

Diamond will always be a girl's best friend, but it may soon lose favour with industrial drillers.
The gemstone lost its title of the "world's hardest material" some time ago, to
man-made nanomaterials of slightly greater toughness. Now a rare natural substance looks likely to leave them all far behind - at 58% harder than diamond.
Zicheng Pan at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and colleagues simulated how atoms in two substances believed to have promise as very hard materials would respond to the stress of a finely tipped probe pushing down on them.

Valentine's Day Special: Say it with flowers

WANT to woo someone with flowers? How about something really special, such as a blue rose, or maybe even an orchid that glows in the dark?
Plant scientists have been trying for years to genetically modify flowers for aesthetic purposes. The first to go on sale were blue carnations produced by
Florigene of Melbourne, Australia, in 1996.
However, producing flowers with dramatic new colours or smells has proved much harder than expected. Florigene's attempts to develop a true-blue rose, by switching off production of red pigment and adding a blue pigment gene from the iris, have been only partially successful.
Although a
"blue rose"will go on sale this year, it is mauve rather than true-blue. "We are struggling," admits lead researcher Yoshikazu Tanaka of Suntory in Osaka, Japan, Florigene's parent company.

Are Proud to be One?

CHINDIAN
( Aka KOpi'O +MilK)
Stuck in between two huge country's which are so much different in cultural diversity(the way of living) and cultural believes. Back to the ancient times of the king (maharajahs)in india example Ashoka and to the huge dynasty of china. I am kinda of confused being a chindian basically (being in the middle of somewhat two big cultural gradient) which sometimes makes me speakless at times .To be honest i am more to the chinese side (my moms side) and it is hard to be into both sides.
What should i say being a chindian is cool? Answer: Never. When ever i walk into a new room ?? Most of the people would think that I am a Malay.(Definitely)
Why I don't noe? Maybe it is the coloration of Coffee plus milk basically. What u will get brown rite! (Simple genetics). So far i have being called by many new faces by (lu melayu kah? lu Ah singh kah, lu dari mana india kah? Only word to be express by me is only sienzzzz...(here it goooes again!!!!)
People have also actually thought i am a Gujarati, Chinese (with dark skin), Indian obviously , Malay (it always happens), bangla (also got), and the list goes on... Here is one incident i used to go to school by bicycle okay, so there will be a shortcut which i use to go to school .and every single time I go throught that kampung (village) the people would actually greet me Assalamualaikum...And I was blur for one week. i did not answer them i just smile and went.... Until the following week i got fed up and guest what would i do?? I just relpy mualaikum salam...to them and came back ...Hahaha.
Okay that is apperance , when it comes to language ( that is another tingy). This is the part i dislike the most I only can speak chinese man!! Don't ever ask me in tamil or something ?? Because the next ting i am going to answer your damn question is in Malay?? I am kind of sad that i can't speak tamil actually(very very sad) so called indian fella only. when it come to speak tamil like (one dungu fella only)What the H**L? What ashame to me??
I have thought many times why not i am just a pure indian or chinese or something...easy to identify a certain individual not by assuming (something which he is not) just by one glance you would noe that he is a certain race! With me never one ( people have to think for some time....)
The best part of being a chindian is you can be disguise yourself when ever and whatever you want? No one remember, no one can talk behind your back because people don't noe that you can understand both languages(it happens all the time to me) i look like a malay somemore....hahaha (it is an advantage) That is the reason why i love being a chindian ( it totally rocks) i am totally Mix (Rojak).

Darwin 200

The 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Robert Darwin falls on 12 February 2009. No single researcher has since matched his collective impact on the natural and social sciences; on politics, religions, and philosophy; on art and cultural relations.

Charles Darwin's theory of descent with modification by means of natural selection, carefully detailed in his book On the Origin of Species almost 150 years ago. The most striking aspect of the theory is its simplicity. Given heritable variation, a superabundance of offspring, and environmental change, natural selection must happen, and evolution will follow. The natural world can be explained without invoking pre-existing germs, essential life forces, the great chain of being, Ptolemaic epicycles or a prime mover.
This simplicity has meant that the theory has always accommodated new discoveries — the general theme of this Insight. In Darwin's day, nothing was known about genetics or the mathematical basis of natural selection. But such discoveries have only made the theory stronger.(My total respect)

Love

The Scientific explanations to it

If you've ever been in love, you've probably at least considered classifying the feeling as an addiction. And guess what: You were right. As it turns out, scientists are discovering that the same chemical process that takes place with addiction takes place when we fall in love.
Love is a chemical state of mind that's part of our genes and influenced by our upbringing. We are wired for romance in part because we are supposed to be loving parents who care diligently for our helpless babies.

Romantic love both exhilarates and motivates us. It is also critical to the continuation of our species. Without the attachment of romantic love, we would live in an entirely different society that more closely resembled some (but not all) of those social circles in the animal world. The chemicals that race around in our brain when we're in love serve several purposes, and the primary goal is the continuation of our species. Those chemicals are what make us want to form families and have children. Once we have children, those chemicals change to encourage us to stay together to raise those children. So in a sense, love really is a chemical addiction that occurs to keep us reproducing.

Regardless of the country or culture, romantic love plays an important part. While cultural differences in how that love is displayed vary greatly, the fact that romantic love exists is undisputed.

Is the Moon On Sale 'Please'?

Moon In 2009
Niceess....(Pettie) Woo!
Moon In 2020

what the H**L??

Mining The Moon

A potential gas source found on the moon's surface could hold the key to meeting future energy demands as the earth's fossil fuels dry up in the coming decades.Mineral samples from the moon contain abundant quantities of helium-3, a variant of the gas used in lasers and refrigerators.

Some boosters of the new moon missions argue that helium-3, an isotope rare on Earth but common on the moon's surface, could be used to fuel nuclear fusion reactors on Earth.

When helium-3 combines with deuterium (an isotope of hydrogen) the fusion reaction proceeds at a very high temperature and it can produce awesome amounts of energy.Just 25 tonnes of helium, which can be transported on a space shuttle, is enough to provide electricity for the US for one full year.

Helium-3 is deposited on the lunar surface by solar winds and would have to be extracted from moon soil and rocks. But no one knows if reactors based on helium-3 would be technically or economically feasible. If a helium-3 reactor can be feasibly built, humanity may get a financial incentive to explore the cosmos (although that incentive may only come through an oil shortage). Unless we can find an inexpensive way to lift objects into orbit, we may be stuck on this planet for the next century and a half (no joking here).Damn....again (This time to Crazy Science).

Will the World End In 2012 ?

2012

There have been countless theories throughout time about how the world will end and how -- or if -- life will cease to exist. At the turn of the 21st century, conspiracy theorists claimed that the Y2K bug was only a small part of the impending devastation: The new century would bring about total destruction, and no one would survive.
Others believe that Earth is slated for another ice age, which will kill off all living things. And according to astronomers, billions of years from now, the sun will become a red giant, expanding to a size larger than the Earth's orbit and consuming the Earth in the process. Even if the planet somehow survives, the sun will eventually shrink, becoming a white dwarf and gradually cooling off until it can no longer warm anything in the solar system.

Mayan Calendar is above all a prophetic calendar that may help us understand the past and foresee the future. It is a calendar of the Ages that describes how the progression of Heavens and Underworlds condition the human consciousness and thus the frames for our thoughts and actions within a given Age.
The Mayan Calendar is not predicting the end of the world 2012, but the start of a new era; the golden age.

In 2006, Mel Gibson released a movie about the Mayan civilization. "Apocalypto" follows one man's journey from slavery back to his family. During the course of the movie, a young woman prophesizes that a man will bring an end to the Mayans and wipe out their civilization. In the real world, some theorists don't believe a man will be the end of the Mayans -- instead, a celestial event will be the cause. The Mayan calendar even gives us a date for this theoretical event: Dec. 21, 2012.

And yesterday i and my brother was discussing about this topic (2012). As we were discussing he popout a thingy as Bahai's we should know this okay...( When was Bab born ? 20 of October 1819) (When was Baha 'u' llah born? 12 of November 1817) .

When put it together (20+12=2012) but not mathematical okay . Is this purely a coincidence?? You tell me>< (weird)

Gotta Love This Movie

Bedtime Stories

A movie by Adam Slandler a hotel handyman whose life is changed forever when the bedtime stories he tells his niece and nephew start to mysteriously come true.He takes advantage of the phenomenon, incorporating his own aspirations into one outlandish tale after another, but it's the kids' unexpected contributions that turns the character's life upside down. Not bad, for a children movie (worth watching).
And I must say that I totally loved the way he was handling the two kids (Sandler's character). It totally sound like me (The freaked out fella !who is around with chidren.Omg!).

Anyways,here are the links:

Enjoy!
